Maps printed under plexiglass have a particularly bright, colour-fast image. The plexiglass sheet also protects against fading or damage. Wall brackets are used for mounting, these securely anchor the map and allow it to "float" a few millimetres from the wall. Plexiglass world maps therefore leave a particularly impressive, decorative impression and are often hung for display in entrance halls or offices.
